For the final image, I use a volumetric path tracer. The scene is encased like a tunnel and the big opening at the end is filled with an area light. For the scene I use most of the features I have implemented: images as textures, normal maps (roof and cobblestones), homogeneous participating media (light rays), depth of field and lens distortion, rough diffuse BSDF (walls and rubble on the floor) and rough conductor (roof and roof-structure). The image rendered for about 80 minutes at a resolution of 1080x720 pixels.
